Day 1 : Dong Kralor (border of Laos) – Rattanakiri Welcome by tour guide  at  the border and transfer by car  through Stung Treng city  to Banlung also known as Red city in Ratanakiri , nicknamed the “Red City” because of the omnipresent laterit. Free and Overnight.

Day 2 : The Kroeung territor
Depart for a trip through rubber plantations towards the nearby waterfalls and elephant ride before heading towards Laos and the village of Taveng. First cross Vealrum Plang, a round lava field in the forest; a few steps away there is a small waterfall (in the rainy season only) surrounded by tigers caves. Later on, we stop at some nice Kroeung villages located in thr forest on both sides of the road. The North we go, the more beautiful  forest .
 In some Kroeung villages, depending on the season, we might discover quite impressive bachelor houses built on very high stills. Let’s notice that, when they have archived  their goal and when the young man has become head of a family, their houses are destroyed before being raised again by younger men the following season.

Day 3 : The Totem  Tampoun
Direction northwest today, we cross bamboo forests be fore reaching the village of Veune Saï located on the left bank of the Se San river; the view on the Chinese village on the o
ther side of the river is quite pretty. Besides, this place is nearly a Chinese enclave in Cambodian territory, most villagers, who are there the thirties, don’t even speak Khmer.  Upstream , there are Tampoun villages, minority that practices funeral statuary If possible, we will rent a boat to get to the village of Ka Chohan which offers beautiful totems. Visit morning market Banlung , then drive through the forest and villages to Kratie , a nice quiet little town on the bank of the Mekong . City tour keeping many houses French style , Wat Rokar Kandal and Phnom Sambok  pagoda. Road to Kampi site through Tmor Kre village specialized the cakes of sticky rice cooked in bamboo tubes . Taste them and do not forget the delicious taste of grapefruit of Koh Trong   . Boat to attend the presence of Irrawaddy dolphins which survives​​​​​​​​ only in this part of the Mekong. Night in Kratie .

Kampong_Cham,_Cambodia._3Day 5 : Kratie – Kompong Cham (216 km)
Road through Chhlong district to Kompong Cham , one of the most populated provinces located on the bank of Mekong River with visiting the Cham villages and the rubber plantation  Chup which once belonged to the French company “Michelin” . Cross the Mekong by the Cambodian- Japanese friendship bridge and  Kompong Cham city tour keeping its market and some nice buildings keeping  French style . Stroll along the Mekong where during low water, long woven bamboo bridge connected the island to the river banks . In the afternoon , by bus or  by motor-remork ( Tuk -Tuk ) along the coast of the Mekong  to reach the temple of Wat Hanchey , an ancient pagoda with some pre- Angkorian temples erected on the hill , superb views of the Mekong River. Overnight in Kompong Cham .

Day 6 : Kompong Cham , Kompong Thom ( 190km )
Visit Phnom Pros and Phnom Srey sites where history is ralative the Khmer tradition , Wat Nokor Bachey and it pagoda
. Road to Kompong Thom , stop at Skun market , only one  market taht you will find the spider and crickets vendors . In the afternoon , by laterit road of 35 km to reach Sambo Prey Kuk , a group of pre- Angkorian temples scattered in the forest , the capital    before Angkor for several centuries. It was founded during the reign of   King Içanavarman who reunited the mainland Khmer ( Chenla Kuok ) and the coastal territory Khmer ( Chenla Toek ) . This tour is an interesting prelude to the complex visit the temples of Angkor. Overnight in Kompong Thom.

Day 7: Kompong Thom – Siem Reap
Road to Siem Reap through villages and rice fields dotted with palm sugarOxcart, Khmer houses, stop at Kompong Kdei to visit a beautiful ancient archaeological bridge of Angkor perod  ” Naga Bridge “. Excursion to Kbal Spean or Thousand Lingas located about 35km north of Angkor. After traveling by car through the villages , you will walk around 45 minutes more through the forest to reach the river contributes to the irrigation of Angkor. Day 11: Siem Reap -  Battambang
Road to Battambang through the Sisophon city , stop at the silk Puork farm , located in the countryside at 16 km from Siem Reap. Day 12: Battambang
Trip along the river passing through the Vietnamese and Cham villages to visit the ancient pagoda Samrong Khnong  and manufacture of glutinous Kralan sticky rice cake cooked in fresh bamboo tubes ,  then crossed the bridge , visit Prahok market ” Phsar prahoc ” ( prahoc is a fabrique de galetterietraditional Khmer food)  . Continuation by car through beautiful villages of rice cakes to the 11th century temple of Ek Phnom   . Return to Wat Kor village and visit a very ancient traditional Khmer house over a century . Then transfer to the bamboo train  , creative transport  by villagers . Day 13: Battambang – Phnom Penh ( 291km )
Early departure to Phnom Penh of 291 km; visit on the way  : at Pursat , making fresh noodles from rice paste and  workshop of marbre  sculpture  well known in Cambodia ; kompong  Luong district  at Krakor the trip on the Tonle Sap to discover the largest floating village on the Tonle Sap consists of  Vietnamese  and  Khmer villages. Wat Phnom Day 14: Phnom Penh

The afternoon , visit the National Museum stunning example of Khmer architecture which was officially inaugurated in 1920 in which are exhibited artworks and sculptures relating to different periods of the history of art Khmer. Overnight.

Day 15: Phnom PenhRoyal Palace
Walk in the market Tuol Toumpoung known Russian market , ideal center for antiques and souvenirs , visit S- 21 or Tuol Sleng ( Genocide Museum ), which was the most secret organ system Khmer Rouge. S-21 represents the ” Security Office 21″, was the establishment of security minister Angkar specifically designed for querying and anti Angkar elements of extermination. Day 16: Phnom Penh- Sihanoukville
Road on 230 km to the seaside town of Sihanoukville, th rough  villages with their pagodas and markets , fields of coconut oil , stop at the Pich Nil mountain with its green valleys . Arrival around noon , transfer to hotel . Afternoon : free

Day 19: Sihanoukville – Kampot – Phnom Penh -Airport
Road to Phnom Penh through beautiful villages and through the Kampot town keeping many houses of French style . Flight back.
