Day 1: Phnom Penh
Arrival at Phnom Penh airport, welcome by tour guide and transfer to Phnom Penh city full of charm , historical capital with wide avenues and beautiful gardens through the Monument of Independence of Angkorian style adorned by beautiful gardens tower to symbolize the day Cambodia achieved independence from French in November 1953 and Wat Phnom built on a small artificial hill topped by a magnificent pagoda monastery for housing sacred relics and a huge stupa of the former king Ponhea Yat founder of the Phnom Penh capital. You will visit the colonial district that has preserved its many houses of French style , passing the national library , the Municipality of Phnom Penh , Calmette Hospital , the Embassy of France and Chhruoy Changva bridge over the Tonle Sap and the post quarter.
Visit the Royal Palace built in 1866 by King Norodom consisting of different structures grouped in an enclosure with a remarkable architecture of Khmer art , the Silver Pagoda which tile is made of silver (or emerald pagoda ) located inside the Royal Palace brings together masterpieces by such a large gold Buddha weighing 90kg solid gold and encrusted with diamonds 9584 , an emerald Buddha and baccarat crystal The afternoon , visit the National Museum stunning example of Khmer architecture which was officially inaugurated in 1920 in which are exhibited artworks and sculptures relating to different periods of the history of art Khmer.

Day 2: Phnom Penh
Visit Tuol Toumpoung market known Russian market , ideal center for antiques and souvenirs , visit S- 21 or Tuol Sleng ( Genocide Museum ), which was the most secret organ system Khmer Rouge. S-21 represents the ” Security Office 21″, was the establishment of security minister Angkar specifically designed for querying and anti Angkar elements of extermination.
In the afternoon , you will have the opportunity to visit the school dance, you might see the basis training the gestures of dance .
Rickshaw ride along the quay Tonle Sap (tricycle).

Day 3: Phnom Penh – Kompong Cham
Departure by bus to Kompong Cham, one of the most populated provinces located on the bank of Mekong River with keeping its market and some nice buildings keeping French style, stop at Skun the only one market that you can see the vendors of spider and crickets, then at Wat Nokor Bachey and Phnom Proh and Phnom Srei hills before arriving at Kompong Cham city.
Afternoon, cross the mekong river by Kizona bridge to the Chup rubber plantation .
Overnight in Kompong Cham
Day 4: Kompong Cham – Kompong Thom
Road along the river to join Wat Hanchey with some temple before Angkor and enjoy beautifull lanscape on Mekong river . Then depart to Kompong Thom provincial city , visit Sambo Prey Kuk , a group of pre-Angkorian temples scattered in the forest , the capital before Angkor for several centuries. It was founded during the reign of King Içanavarman who reunited the mainland Khmer ( Chenla Kuok ) and the coastal territory Khmer.
Overnight in Kompong Thom city.
Day 5: Kampong Thom – Siem Reap
Early departure to Siem Reap, stopping to visit the archaeological site of Naga Bridge and Kralan village .Arrive in Siem Reap and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon visit to the Angkor National Museum .

Day 6: Siem Reap – Angkor Temples
Starting to discover Rolous Group temples , it is a collection of monuments representing the remains of Hariharalya, the first major capital of the Angkorian era Khmer Empire : Bakong , Preah Ko and Lolei.
Afternoon, visit the temples in the big circuit : Preah Khan ( Sacred Sword ) temple built by King Jayavarman VII , dedicated to his father, Neak Pean ( naga hugging himself ) stands on a round base carved petals lotus and contained in the folds of two nagas , Ta Som dated from the time of Preah Khan was destroyed by vegetation, East Mebon stands in the center of an ancient artificial lake built in Yashovarman was built at the beginning of the reign of the tenth century Rajendravarman II and Prasat Pre Rup , funerary temple, built in the 10th century is undoubtedly a Hindu until sunset . Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 7 Siem Reap
Tuk Tuk ( motor-remork) ride towards Angkor Thom (Great City ) starting from the South Gate , then the famous Bayon Temple built by Jayavarman VII in the late twelfth century and dedicated to Buddhism , composed of 54 gigantic towers 216 faces of Avalokitesvara , pyramidal Baphuon temple XIth century representing Mount Meru dedicated to brahamanisme , Phimean Akas (Celestial Palace ) pyramid with three levels representing Mount Meru, the Terrace of Elephants measuring 350m long welcomed the splendor of royal audiences and public ceremonies, the leper king terrace platform has several admirable figures carved apsaras . In the afternoon, visit Ta Phrom Temple, was a monastery built by Jayavarman VII as a residence for his mother. Ta Prohm has been controversially left to the destructive power of the jungle by French archeologists to show how nature can destroy man’s work. It has been largely overgrown by the jungle and as you climb through the dilapidated stone structures you see many giant trees growing out of the top of the temple itself. Ta Prohm looks as many of the monuments did when European explorers first laid eyes on them. Finally, in late afternoon , you climb to the top of Phnom Bakheng Hill and discover the first temple in the Angkor region built in the early 9th century . You admire the beautiful sunset on the Western Baray and the surrounding sites. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 8: Siem Reap
Transfer to discover Banteay Srei ( Citadel of Women) , a temple built during the reign of King Jayavarman V , dedicated to Shiva whose architecture and its pink sandstone sculptures have a masterpiece of Khmer art . Then visit Banteay Samre ( Samrès fortress ) built in the XII century this temple in the Angkor style , this monument placed on a low base was probably a funerary temple. You will have the opportunity to walk in the village and contact people on their daily activities , particularly the production of sugar palm from the juice of sugar palm tree. Afternoon, visit Angkor Wat , World Heritage with its soaring towers and magnificent bas-reliefs. This is a most extraordinary monument ever conceived by the human mind , built in the twelfth century (1112-1152) in honor of Vishnu.

Day 9: Siem Reap – Battambang ( Jul-Jan)
Transfer to Chong Khneas village, then boarding a traditional boat through the great lake and river Sangke to reach Battambang. Several visits are planned during the trip : Prek Toal with floating villages of fishermen, fish ponds , the crocodile farm , the pagoda , schools and workshop craft water hyacinth created by French NGO 1
Then you go down the Sangke river and stop at Chheu Khmau pagoda ( Black Wood Pagoda ) a very ancient pagoda where your guide will introduce its history, then arrived at Bak Prea , a village consisting of a mixture of floating houses and houses on stilts. You could see various family fishing gear .
The picnic lunch will serve you in the boat. The navigation continues on the river , the human activities gradually changing lifestyle on the water to a way of life on earth. You will discover houses on stilts , bamboo forests , kapok tree , pagodas and beautiful landscapes scenic .
Arrival at the port around 16:00 . Transfer to hotel.
Overnight in Battambang.
Day 10: Battambang
Battambang was a big city after Phnom Penh, you can impress the houses keeping their colonial style along the Sangke river and also a big market. Follow the road along the river to the North edged by beautiful villages until Wat Ek Phnom temple of the 11st century. On the way , you can visit the domestic manufacture of the pancake in village along the road. Then visit an ancient traditional Khmer house at Wat Kor village.
Then drive through the village to Banon temple of the 11st century .
Return to Bamboo train station and enjoy a pleasant short trip along the rails through the country side. Bamboo Train is a small platform sitting on small railway wheels, propelled by a small gasoline engine. This is a great experience not to be missed .

Day 11: Battambang – Kampong Chhnang- Phnom Penh
Road to Phnom Penh on 291km, stop at Pursat city to see the fabric of fresh Khmer noodle and workshop of marble sculpture. Continue to Konong Chhnang one of the biggest fishing port on tonal Sap river and the floating houses. Fish farming is also widely practiced in the area. The area is famous for its pottery ware, unchanged in style for centuries, which is produced in sufficient quantities to supply the entire country. The products of the Thnot tree (sugar palm – a real national symbol) abounds in the area: a mellow tasting, caramel-colored sugar sold in large cakes and palm wine, before arrival at Phnom Penh visit workshops of artisans village bordering the Tonle Sap whose inhabitants specialize in silver work and copper which are the ornaments shaped objects used during traditional ceremonies at the pagoda or for marriages.

Day 12: Phnom Penh – Sihanouk Ville
Road on 230 km to the seaside town of Sihanoukville, through villages with their pagodas and markets , fields of coconut oil , stop at the Pich Nil mountain with its green valleys .
Arrival around noon , transfer to hotel .

Day 13: Sihanouk Ville
Sihanoukville city tour , fishing village and market .
Afternoon relaxation.

Day 15: Sihanouk Ville – Bokor – Kep
The trip to Kep city and go to Bokor station built as a resort by the French settlers to offer an escape from the heat, humidity and general unsanitary Phnom Penh.
The centerpiece of the resort was the grand Bokor Palace Hotel & Casino ( recently repaired retaining its old style) , a post office (now demolished) , a church and the royal apartments . It is also an important cultural site , showing how the settlers spent their free time.
Bokor Hill was abandoned by the French in late 1940, during the First War of Indochina .
There is also a very ancient pagoda and a mild temperature of fresh air with splendid panoramic view over the sea and the countryside.
Currently , you can easily reach this site by a beautiful wide paved road and install a beautiful hotel ” Thansur Bokor ” ( Bokor Paradise) .
Continue the way through Kampot city, beautifull city along the river.
Overnight in KEP.
Day 16: Kep- Takeo-Phnom Penh
Visit crab market , then road to Phnom Penh, with visiting peper plantation , Phnom Chiso and Prast Neang Khmao.

Day 17: Phnom Penh
Free time for your own activities until transfer to the airport for departure.
